Indira’s eyes fluttered open, and she instantly smiled at the view of his eyes gazing into hers. Waking up this morning to his attractive face made her feel like she was flying. There was no greater feeling than being able to stare directly into the eyes of the man she loved, knowing that they were moving forward with their lives together. This is all she had ever wanted, and now that she was finally getting it, Indira truly felt like the luckiest girl in the world.

He lifted a hand of her cheek and gently caressed it only making her smile grow stronger. He wasn’t smiling at her, but Indira could definitely see a smile in his eyes. The love that radiated off him was one that she absolutely cherished with all her heart and soul. He didn’t even have to say anything to her because, in this moment right here, Indira truly felt complete. She felt whole and at complete bliss at her being back beside the man that she loved. There was no greater feeling than being able to wake up next to someone you loved. Someone you would willingly give up the entire world for. This was an experience that Indira forever wanted to feel for the rest of her life on this earth. She wanted to constantly be able to wake up to Bakari Marshall, feeling the soreness between her thighs of their love making last night but willing to make love again in the morning. Then after their first heated love session of the day, she would finally get out of bed and tend to the other most important male in her life, Noah.

“I want you to meet Noah,” Indira blurted out suddenly, which made Bakari crack a surprised smile.

The thought of her brother made her realize that Bakari had yet to meet him. And that was mainly her fault and the fact that time had gotten the best of them both. However, Indira knew that there was no better time for them to meet than now.

“I know it’s been long overdue, but I really want you guys to meet today. Now that things are finally looking up for us, I want to make things even better by introducing you to my brother. Now that my mother’s gone…”

Indira cut her words short once the memory of her mother came into her head. She still wasn’t used to saying that her mother was dead. Bakari’s eyes widened with alarm at her unfinished statement, and he immediately questioned her about it, still stroking her cheek. Bakari hadn’t found out about her losing her mother, because the day that she had found out was the day that they were starting to go through some real shit. It was the day that Bakari was pushing her to leave Javon for good, and because she had gotten a call from the coroner’s office, she left him unanswered and raced to go identify her mother’s body.

There had been no opportunity for her to break the news to him the day after because she was still in shock.
